Kansas Athletics and MMTH Enter into New Alliance
Kansas to become the first MMTH 360 school.
Lawrence, Kan–KU Athletics today announced a new and all encompassing alliance with MMTH (pronounced Mammoth). KU is the first school to join MMTH’s 360 development program. The signature service is designed to help qualified athletic departments navigate the operational challenges inherent in today’s collegiate environment by investing in student athletes and the facilities they play in.
“This transformational era of intercollegiate athletics requires us to align more strategically than ever before,” Kansas Director of Athletics Travis Goff said. “To achieve our vision, we will move beyond transactional relationships into deeper, mutually beneficial alliances. MMTH, founded just 30 miles down the road and under Jake Farrant’s exceptional leadership, represents values that matter most to us: Kansas roots, blue-collar background, innovation, commitment to excellence, and community impact.”
“We are confident this collaboration will set a new standard and are grateful to Jake and his outstanding team for their commitment to Kansas Athletics and our industry.”
MMTH will serve as a turnkey development and operations specialist for Kansas Athletics. MMTH’s work on campus has already begun, starting with the installation of their proprietary MMTH Turf at Hoglund Ballpark, Arrocha Ballpark, and the new David Booth Kansas Memorial Stadium. The new turf prominently features the MMTH brand.
MMTH will begin work on phase II of the Gateway District which includes study of a multi-use indoor baseball facility near Hoglund Park.
“To compete in today’s collegiate environment, you can’t match the rate of change, you have to be ahead of it,” said Jake Farrant, Owner and CEO of MMTH. “KU is positioning itself as a leader in the evolving landscape of higher education, where integrated, high-performance athletic environments drive institutional growth, student success and monetization of facilities.”
“This approach positions KU to lead nationally in how institutions can reimagine their facilities as a tool to drive impact, sustainability, and financial growth.”
MMTH 360 exists to redefine what an athletic program can be. In an era of fierce competition, shifting revenue models, and competing stakeholder expectations, colleges are being forced to find creative ways to promote and maximize campus life to attract and retain students and student-athletes alike. MMTH’s insights and execution help athletic departments align their physical assets with the university’s broader development and financial goals.
