Stanley County High School in Fort Pierre needed a new track at Ole Williamson Field, but another firm had told the district it wouldn’t fit on the existing site and the entire complex would have to be relocated. MMTH’s design-build team found a way to keep it right where it was. By relocating the concession, ticket and restroom building and shifting the track about 20 yards north, MMTH made room for a full track rebuild with new field events, a turf football field with soccer lines and softball tic marks, and a new press box and grandstands seating 1,000. The result is a complete track and football complex for the Buffaloes, built on the site the district already had.
